Tag 66-68

Nadine und ich gehen auf die erste Techno- Party – wenn auch nur für zwei Stunden von 6 bis 8 Uhr morgens im Shiva Valley. Es ist wie immer, traditionell sozusagen. Psytrance wie jede Nacht beim Curlies oder Shiva Valley 200 Meter von uns entfernt- die Bässe gehören zum Schlaf dazu. Ich habe schon mehrfach überlegt mal einfach aufzustehen-am Samstag war es dann soweit. Hat Spaß gemacht. 

Es ist jetzt mehr los, im. Februar. Das Mango-Shade ist morgens wieder voller Israelis, und die Partysaison hat wieder begonnen. 

Wir haben Ralf unter der Brücke in Siolim zum Thali getroffen, super lecker und interessant von ihm zu hören. Er ist weiterhin wie schon die letzten 15 Jahre die ganze Season von Oktober bis April in Goa, mit einer Unterbrechung um Weihnachten und Neujahr in Berlin zu sein. Es sind wenige, sagt er, die das noch machen, Oktober und November sind wenig Europäer da. Aber es gefällt ihm weiter. 

Die Kinder haben gelegentlich Heimweh- Attacken. Das Essen, ihr Zimmer, die Freunde, einfach alles. Wir verstehen sie. Indien ist schon wild, so anders als daheim. Aber die Zeit vergeht auch schnell, noch drei Wochen sind wir hier, dann geht es auf Reisen. Als erste Etappe sind Berge und Wandern in Vietnam geplant, dann Tempel in Kambodscha. 

Jens ist schon unterwegs, die Wo ist App zeigt meinen Bruder gerade an Gate in Doha. Er hat einer der guten Verbindungen gewählt- über Katar direkt zum neuen Flughafen GOX im Norden Goas. Wir erwarten ihn gegen 4 Uhr früh bei uns und alle freuen sich schon auf ihn.

Day 66-68

Nadine and I go to the first techno party – if only for two hours from 6 to 8 in the morning in Shiva Valley. It’s like always, traditional so to speak. Psytrance like every night at Curlies or Shiva Valley 200 meters away from us – the bass is part of the sleep. I’ve thought about just getting up several times – Saturday was the day. It was fun. 

It’s busier now, in. February. The Mango Shade is full of Israelis again in the mornings and the party season has started again. 

We met Ralf under the bridge in Siolim for thali, super tasty and interesting to hear from him. He is still in Goa for the whole season from October to April, as he has been for the last 15 years, with a break to be in Berlin for Christmas and New Year. He says that there are only a few people who still do this; there are few Europeans in October and November. But he still likes it. 

The children have occasional bouts of homesickness. The food, their room, their friends, simply everything. We understand them. India is wild, so different from home. But time also passes quickly, we are here for another three weeks, then we are off on our travels. The first stage is planned to be mountains and hiking in Vietnam, then temples in Cambodia. 

Jens is already on his way, the Where is app shows my brother at the gate in Doha. He has chosen one of the good connections – via Qatar directly to the new GOX airport in the north of Goa. We are expecting him at around 4 a.m. and everyone is looking forward to seeing him.
