Delhi- our last day in India

Tag 87 

Zum Abschluss unserer Zeit in Indien gönnten wir uns in der 33-Millionen Metropole  Delhi für eine Nacht noch einmal ein echtes fünf Sterne Hotel – sehr zur Freude der Kinder. Dafür ging es gestern zum Abendessen noch mal hinaus bei nach einem kurzen Regenschauer frischerer Luft in das vegetarische Govinda Restaurant am Hare Krishna Tempel. Indische Küche sehr lecker und günstig -allen schmeckt der Butter Paneer Masala mit Naan. 

Da uns keiner mehr begleiten wollte, buchen Nadine und ich allein eine klassische Tour mit Guide und Fahrer durch Delhi. Danke an Andreas, der mit den Kindern ein Tagesprogramm unternahm, mit Weltreise-Schule, Pool und Laser spielen in der Mall.

Wir brauchten anderthalb Stunden mit dem Taxi in die Altstadt, wo wir nach dem Besuch der alten Moschee  Jama Masjid mit der Fahrrad-Rikscha durch die engen Gassen von Old Delhi fuhren.

in traditioneller Hindu-Architektur ohne Stahl oder Beton, aus rosa Sandstein und weißem Marmor gebaut, waren eindrucksvoll.

Um 00.05 geht es heute Nacht in einem vierstündigen Flug nach Hanoi, Vietnam.

Day 87 

To round off our time in India, we treated ourselves to one night in a real five-star hotel in the 33-million-strong metropolis of Delhi – much to the delight of the children. We went out again yesterday for dinner in the vegetarian Govinda restaurant at the Hare Krishna temple, where the air was fresher after a short rain shower. Indian cuisine, very tasty and cheap – everyone enjoyed the butter paneer masala with naan. 

As no one else wanted to accompany us, Nadine and I book a classic tour of Delhi on our own with a guide and driver. Thanks to Andreas, who took the children on a day program with a world travel school, pool and laser games in the mall.

It took us an hour and a half by cab to get to the old city, where after visiting the old Jama Masjid mosque we took a bicycle rickshaw through the narrow streets of Old Delhi.

built in traditional Hindu architecture without steel or concrete, from pink sandstone and white marble, were impressive.

At 00.05 tonight we take a four-hour flight to Hanoi, Vietnam.
